Business concept and background

Aqua Terrena's business concept is simple - to extract and bottle a unique spring water in a way that guarantees the optimal quality. The customer shall, without compromise, be offered the purest and most healthy spring water available on the market. Our spring water is supplied to customers in Sweden and abroad.

The fresh, uncarbonated spring water is collected from a subterranean spring, at a depth of 105 metres, in Mörarp outside Helsingborg in Scania, southern Sweden. The water is siphoned and handled within a completely sealed system, from the spring to the package itself. This is done to guarantee the highest possible quality, purity and long shelf life.

The Company
Aqua Terrena International AB has run its operation since October 1997. On analysis of the water at Magnihill Estate in Mörarp, it was discovered that the spring water was exceptionally well balanced and of very high quality. The idea of developing the spring for commercial production was born so that people, and not just cultivated vegetables, should benefit from the good water. Aqua Terrena International AB currently consists of two companies - a production company and a sales company.

The concern is divided up into four business areas:
• Daily trade
• Office and mobile water
• Restaurants
• Export market

Since 15 March 1999, Aqua Terrena International AB has been listed on the Swedish Aktietorget stock market.

Method of production
Aqua Terrena's spring water is pumped up and packaged direct into bottles or Bag-in-Box. During the production process, the water never comes into contact with surrounding air, and the bottles are filled on site. This is one of the explanations behind Aqua Terrena's bacteriological purity and long shelf life. Aqua Terrena is the earth's own water - completely isolated form any external influence.

The Spring Water
• The water is pumped up from the freshwater well at a depth of 105 metres.
• The water passes through a tube aerator. Sterile pressurised air filters off the sulphurous acid found in the water.
• A sand filter is used to filter off the physical particles.
• A bag filter filters off any sand particles.
• The production water is complete, to then go on to either the filling line for bottles or for Aquabox.

Water quality is controlled continuously during the entire process.
Water samples are analysed in Aqua Terrena's own laboratory.
